Episode 4 – Chris Chinault

This week I had the pleasure of sitting down with Chris Chinault, a long-time friend and an accomplished Cloud Architect and Engineer. Chris has over 25 years of experience in IT, having built his career from the ground up after originally considering a path toward physical therapy. His journey took him through roles in help desk support, hardware, networking, and engineering, culminating in his current role as a Solutions Architect.

We had a great conversation about his career transition, his work with government cloud projects, and navigating the FedRAMP authorization process. Chris shared valuable insights into the evolution of solutions architecture, the importance of communication with non-technical stakeholders, and tips for those aspiring to follow a similar career path. I really enjoyed this episode, and it was particularly special because I’ve known Chris for over 25 years, making this a meaningful and nostalgic conversation.

Thank you, Chris, for coming on the show and offering your wisdom and perspective on the challenges and rewards of being a Solutions Architect.

I am immensely proud and happy with the progress of the podcast over the last few months. With the first three episodes, we’ve had over 378 downloads across 73 cities and 30 countries around the globe. Next week, I’ll be reflecting on the amazing journey so far and continuing to bring more exciting guests to share their stories.
